I am renown for wishing my life away and counting the days to my much loved holidays. But if I knew the future, would I try to change it? Last night Flash Forward premiered on telly and this drama is following mankind after the whole planets population (but is it everyone???) passes out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. Not only that, most people see during their black out a glimpse of their future 6 months ahead, 29th April 2010.
If that was my cousin, she would probably see yet another B-Day clebration as that date is her birthdate. As for me, I would be most likely surfing the ebay for new swim wear for the forth coming holidays. But I don't really wish to know as I am sure I find out if and when anything actually happens. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger ;)
This reminds me...only 15 sleeps until LISBON BABY!!!

Arillas memories
Nights are longer and weather is getting chillier but I have put together a video to warm my mind with memories of Arillas until next year. Good times! *deep sigh*

Friday night fun
This morning I am feeling rather fragile but last night was fun. We hit the bar next door straight after work and I stumbled home around midnight.

London Tattoo Convention
Today the 5th London Tattoo Convention kicks off in Tobacco Dock in east London. Lots of artists from around the world and ink, shows and other entertainment and tattoo paraphernalia. Good stuff!
I will try and attend tomorrow but that all depens on how tonight goes as it is my colleague Laila's last day. She is moving back to Norway and naturally there has to be some lady like viking style drinking before she goes. Skol!

Shorter days
This morning was the first morning when I woke up with the windows steamed up over night, which means autumn is really here. That does not inspire me a great deal. Autumnal Equinox passed quietly couple of days ago and now the days are officially shorter than nights.
Busy busy busy week almost done, but all work and no play makes Karelian Blonde a dull blogger. I will try and get on with it over the weekend so more then.

Strictly Game On
New series of Strictly Come Dancing kicked off on Friday and with these changes with judges and dancers, the program did not whip up the excitement as it has done in the previous series.Mind you, there are no total two wooden legs celebrities gratefully this year which makes the program slightly better.
As for the judges...Alesha Dixon as one did not quite manage to be convincing, but the old judges saved the day. It will be interesting to see how this one develops. The jury's out so to speak ;)
The first 8 couples danced ballroom on Friday and Latin on Saturday and the first couple to leave the show was Matthew Cutler and Martina Hingis. And it was the right decision in my book.
But my favourite American boy from last year Brian Fortuna is my this years favourite as well. He is dancing with actress Ali Bastian from The Bill and I believe they are serious contenders this year. Next week we will see the next eight couples and and I can assess the rest of the competition. Game on!

He's like the wind
Gorgeous Patrick Swayze has moved on to the big screen in the sky. I went through my blog and found this story from last December. This man brought fantasy alive of a good bad man, whose characters could dance, fight and love you forever. Thanks to the films we can watch him forever and keep on indulging the fantasy. *deep sigh*

Dalton in the film Roadhouse:
"All you have to do is follow three simple rules.
One, never underestimate your opponent. Expect the unexpected.
Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the bar unless it's absolutely necessary.
And three, be nice."

World Cup 2010
England has secured their place in the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

Finland crashed out quietly and even though it was expected it is still very dissapointing. My favourite Sami Hyypiä looks equally dissapointed.

Well, there is still a whole month of football to be seen 11th June 2010 onwards :)

09/09/09
Today is the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year. Sounds good to me as I have always considered the number 9 to be my lucky number. The day itself falls on a Wednesday and both Wednesday & September have 9 letters.
Some say that the swine flu will get us today but others that the world would be sucked into a black hole created by the Cern particle collider in Switzerland.
What ever, I think it will be just another day and I am happy to be alive and well but I will buy a lottery ticket just in case ;)

Shark attack
Whilst we were swimming and horsing around in the Ionian sea last week, one of the games was naturally "Shark is coming!" and humming the theme from the movie, which was endless fun. But then I saw this news today about a shark attack in Santorini and boy am I glad I didn't see it before my holiday.

Back home
Back at home tired and with king size holiday blues. Today I have been taking it easy after yesterdays travelling and just got on with few chores and started making the new holiday video. I just need few pics from Heavy and Miss K to complete the effort.
Tomorrow it is back to work and the motivation will be to earn some money for the future holidays as they are essential for ones mental health. More when and if anything happens.

Last day in Arillas
Last night was fun in Corfu town and few items were bought and we had a lovely dinner. Once we got back to the village, I popped over to the Coconut bar where me and my new friends the Canning Brothers kept knocking back the beers and talked about ink and skin until about 04.30 this morning.

This morning we hit the beach for the last time and spent some more time in the Ionian sea. Long lunch in Thallassa and now Heavy and Miss K are packing as I am writing this. Their flight back to Finland leaves tonight and I will be the only Finn in the bar momentarily before the next lot gets here. My flight is not until tomorrow morning so I expect to have some more Royal Ionian to numb the pain.
Here is the last view from Thalassa *deepest sigh* It has been brilliant once again. I love life :)

Arillas life continues
Last night was fun with Jason G singing Robbie Williams and we were all belting out the songs as well. This morning we slept long and hit the Marina Pool Bar where quality chilling out time was spent. Shortly we are off to Corfu town and some retail therapy for the ladies. Life is GOOD!

Another day in Arillas
Days are flying by with fun, sun and sea. The Ionian sea has been lovely and warm and I have been more in it than on the beach. Food is beautiful and wine and locally brewed Royal Ionian lager have been featuring in our diet. We have met a lot of old friends and made some new ones. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
