In the news today was the article regarding the "tipsy" gene, which is a version of CYP2E1 gene.Most of the alcohol people consume is broken down in the liver, but some is metabolised in the brain by an enzyme which the CYP2E1 gene provides coded instructions for.
I believe that my CYP2E1 is working, at least sometimes it makes me tipsy quick but sometimes I tolerate long sessions of alcohol usage. Interesting...
