Curious case of Julian Assange

It is time I will stick my oar in this Wikileaks soup and pledge my allegiance to freedom of information and speech. If governments have untold quantities of information from us, why does it not work the other way?

I am not sure if Mr Assange was arrested and refused bail to be placed in a protective custody so that the "secret services" of the world cannot assassinate him or are the Swedes just being weirdly obstinate?

The seemingly wafer thin trumped up "rape" charges in Sweden, I believe these women have now had their 5 min publicity which is all they deserve in my book. Seriously!!! It all tastes bitterly of a set up as Mr Assange is not exactly a charismatic George Clooney lookalike and I think these ladies accusations were conveniently placed to get a warrant for his arrest.

The hactivist group Anonomys have already done few major attacks which proves my theory that power to the people nowadays indeed belongs effectively in cyber space rather than the streets.

"There are some things Wikileaks can't do.
For everything else, there's Operation Payback."

These various revelations of depravity, greed and cowardly behavior of states and individuals are coming to light and I believe there simply is no stopping it. Nothing is harder than keeping a secret.
