I just spent couple of hours watching Iron Maiden: Flight 666 full length rocumentary film that I taped from BBC4 last night and I am seriously buzzing as my brain is flooded with serotonin because of the excellent music. It was nice to see Bruce Dickinson fly a plane, Adrian Smith play tennis, Nicko McBrain looking like a London cabbie on a golf course, Steve Harris signing autographs with a little help from his kids, Dave Murray managing to look dignified through out and Janick Gers just being enigmatic Janick Gers. Their crew was funny and the air hostesses on the plane were naturally wearing Iron Maiden shirts.
They flew 36,000 and something miles around the world in couple of months playing in far flung places where they had never been before. The fans were up for it (to put it mildly!) everywhere where they went and the gigs looked quite amazing. Good stuff!
