I am feeling giddy this morning because of chance encounter of a canine variety. I was coming through the ticket gates at Leicester Square station when I spotted two happy police Spaniels working away hard with their handlers.I have seen their work featured in the ITV series Send In The Dogs so who knows if the ones I saw this morning are actually famous already.
But who ever the dogs were, this made me smile and I have not stopped since, which is nice :)

Dear KB, you've reminded me of coming back to NZ in March 1988 with a "cuddly toy" I'd bought at Hamleys.
Before the drugs team let the spaniel near my hand luggage they strongly advised me to tuck the toy in my bag, and zip theh bag up well - yes, the dog was highly skilled at sniffing out drugs (of course I had none) but it also had a weak spot for soft toys! Their advice means James, the fluffy elephant toy is with me yet, drug free and ignored by Zebby Cat too!
